Hirova

An iPhone app that interviews you and writes your resume bullets

Hirova is an iPhone app that interviews you about your work, three to five short questions per job, typed or dictated, and turns your answers into resume bullets. Every title, date and number shows the words it came from for you to confirm. Your first resume will be free at launch. Hirova is not available yet.

How the interview works

  1. Import or start fresh. Bring in a PDF or a photo of your resume. Hirova reads it on your iPhone; the file is not uploaded.
  2. Answer a few questions. Three to five short questions about what you owned and what changed. Type or dictate, and skip any you like.
  3. See your words set as bullets. Hirova rewrites your answers as resume lines in a consistent voice.
  4. Check every fact. Each title, date and number shows the words it came from. Nothing reaches your draft until you confirm it.
  5. Export a PDF. A typeset, text-based PDF you can send from the share sheet.

From question to bullet

Two fictional examples. The first is Maya Chen, the sample product manager from the homepage. Every number in each bullet is one the person said.

Before

Responsible for enterprise onboarding.

The question

What parts of enterprise onboarding did you rebuild?

They said

“We rebuilt onboarding so enterprise customers could set it up themselves. The first report used to take 21 days, now it’s 9.”

After

Replaced manual enterprise onboarding with a guided setup flow, cutting time to first report from 21 to 9 days.

Before

Handled closing duties.

The question

What did you change about closing, and who uses it now?

They said

“I made a checklist for closing the store because things kept getting missed. Now every shift uses it.”

After

Wrote the store’s closing checklist, now used on every shift.

Why an interview instead of a template

Most people know what they did at work. The hard part is putting it into resume bullets. A template gives you a blank box; a chatbot can only rewrite what you paste in. An interview asks for what is missing: what you owned, who relied on it and what changed.

Answering is the part only you can do, so Hirova keeps the source of each fact visible. In our tests on synthetic profiles, 12 AI-written sections had a number that was not in the facts, and Hirova’s checks refused all 12, so none was shown.

“AI resumes sound generic.” Generic usually means the specifics were lost. The interview asks for the tools, numbers and results in your work, keeps your words as the source, and lets you edit any line you wouldn’t say in an interview.

Questions

I’m bad at describing what I did. Does that matter?
That is what the interview is for. You answer questions in plain language, by typing or dictating, and Hirova turns the answers into resume bullets for you to check. Hirova is not available yet.
How is this different from pasting my resume into ChatGPT or Claude?
A chatbot can only rewrite what you give it. Hirova is designed to interview you about your work, ask follow-up questions when information is missing, show the source words behind each fact for you to confirm, and export a typeset PDF. It is not available yet. A chatbot plus a template also works.
Is there an Android or web version?
No. Hirova is iPhone only and is not on the App Store yet.
